Can I embed a video into my email?
Technically, yes.

Do we recommend it?

No.

At least, not at this time.  While video in email has gained traction over the past few years, it's still not widely supported enough by the many email client/browser/platform combinations to ensure that all of your contacts will see it, or have the ability to play it.  From a recent Campaign Monitor article (https://www.campaignmonitor.com/resources/guides/video-in-email/):

"Email clients like Gmail, Outlook, Thunderbird, and others often don’t support the technical requirements needed to play video right inside the email."
A safe alternative, however, is to include an image capture of your video in your email, and then link from the image to wherever the video is hosted.

Eloqua now provides this functionality within the email editor.  In the Content section under Design Components, you'll find a Video content type.  Dragging and dropping this into your email will prompt you to paste in a video link from either YouTube or Vimeo.  This creates a static preview, which will link to the actual video.
